Steve “Opie” Thomas is the National Director of Hope Outdoors. Hope Outdoors is a non-profit 501c3 organization that uses the avenue of hunting and fishing to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those with special needs. Opie and his wife, Stephanie, reside in their hometown of Tupelo MS with their 6-year-old twins, Ana Davis and Emilee. They attend Opie’s home church of Harrisburg Baptist Church. He’s a graduate of Tupelo High School and Union University in Jackson TN. Opie has been in the ministry for over 30 years. He traveled and led worship for over 15 years and served for Centrifuge Camps for 9 summers of those years. Before getting married, Opie lived in Waynesboro TN for 8 years where he based his worship ministry and served part-time as Student/Music Minister at FBC Waynesboro. It was in Waynesboro, through the purchase of an outdoor store, that God began opening the door to outdoor ministry. An avid deer and turkey hunter, It was through his store he began guiding hunts and soon began filming and editing videos.

Through his filming, he was introduced to Hope Outdoors. In 2011, Opie was asked to be the National Director of this great organization. In 2012, after closing his store, Opie moved back to Tupelo where he met his wife and he and his family now live. Opie is very active with outdoor ministry and his church. 

He also a pro staff for Mossy Oak and in 2019 was nominated as a pro-staffer of the year. He’s also a pro-staffer with Peg Legs Customs. Opie has co-written several

outdoor bible studies including four Base Camp studies with Bro Edgar Pierce of East Union Baptist Church in Jackson TN.

Meet the entertainment! 

The Adams Brothers will be returning to Bartlett Hills for this year's Wild Game and Fish Dinner. Paul Adams has been playing the banjo for close to 50 years. He is pastor of Canaan Baptist Church and hosts a weekly bluegrass program on KUDZ 104.9 out of Ripley, Mississippi. James Adams played for many years with Paul in a family of bluegrass group. He is a pastor if Colonial Baptist Chruch in Memphis. Becky Roland is a classically trained Violinist but almost 5 years ago switched over to play bluegrass fiddle. She is a registered dietitian and the mom of two wonderful girls. Mike Garrett co-hosts the weekly radio bluegrass show with Paul on 104.9. Mike is a multi-talented musician and will be playing bass.
